Edge Protectors & U-Channels
A U-channel is edge protection that installs in one motion: the profile's memory grips the panel, so it stays in place through handling without tape or wrap. IPS extrudes U-channels in closed-cell PE with the inside width matched to your panel thickness — glass, stone, wood, or metal.

For parts that take hits from two directions we build double-protection corner guards, and for line-side application we can supply channels slit or backed with pressure-sensitive adhesive.

- Inside width matched to your panel gauge for a friction fit
- Closed-cell PE recovers shape use after use
- Plain, slit, or PSA adhesive-backed

Frequently asked questions
How do I size a U-channel?
Measure your panel thickness — the channel's inside width should equal it or run 1/16" under for a friction grip. Then choose leg height for how much face coverage you want. The quoting tool prices any combination instantly.
Will the channel stay on without tape?
Yes — sized correctly, closed-cell PE grips the panel by friction. For automated lines or extra security we supply channels with pressure-sensitive adhesive.
Can you protect a full panel perimeter?
Yes — we cut channel sets to your panel dimensions, mitered or square-cut, so one kit protects all four edges.
