Furniture & Appliance Foam Packaging

Furniture and appliances lose money at the corners: one dinged edge on a refrigerator or one scuffed table leg turns a sale into a return. This is IPS's home turf — corner protectors, edge guards, and block packaging engineered to take the hits your product would otherwise absorb.

White expanded polystyrene blocks for appliance packaging

Extruded PE profiles (corners, U-channels, tubing) run economically at the volumes furniture plants consume, EPS corner blocks and rails carry the weight of white goods, and EPE film-laminated pads keep finished surfaces clean. It's the same product family our catalog was built on, sized to your parts with the IPS part-number system.

Foam applications

  • PE corner protectors and double-protection corner guards
  • U-channel edge protection for panels, doors, and tabletops
  • EPS corner blocks, rails, and end caps for appliances
  • EPE surface-protection pads and wraps
  • Foam-laminated corrugated liners and layer pads
  • Leg and foot end caps for furniture

Example applications

Refrigerator corner set

EPS corner blocks plus PE edge rails for a white-goods line — engineered as a set so one SKU of foam protects the whole unit.

Table edge protection

PE U-channel runs sized to tabletop thickness, sliding on at the end of the line and staying put through LTL freight.

Sofa leg caps

PE end caps for hardwood furniture legs, replacing bubble-and-tape hand wrapping with a two-second push-on part.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes of corner protectors do you stock?

We run standard line sizes (like 2" × 2" legs with a 1" wall) and cut custom dimensions to order — leg lengths, wall thickness, and piece length are all configurable. The quoting tool prices your exact size instantly.

PE or EPS — which should we use?

PE profiles flex and recover, ideal for edges and repeated handling; EPS blocks are rigid and economical for carrying the weight of large appliances. Many packs use both — PE on edges, EPS at the base.

Can you match a part we currently buy in the US?

Usually, yes — send the part or its drawing and we'll match the profile and material, typically at a meaningful saving given nearshore production economics.

Do you supply adhesive-backed protection?

Yes — pads, strips, and channels are available with pressure-sensitive adhesive backing for peel-and-stick application on the line.
